Mary Pollak has been an art educator and visual artist holding a bachelors degree from Iowa State University. She has studied at Mass College of Art, Suffolk University, Montserrat College of Art and Salem State College. Selected workshops include Art New England at Bennington College , Great River Arts Institute with Catherine Farish and Drawing Workshops at the Norristown Arts Building with Timothy Hawkesworth.
Her teaching experience includes Art teacher, elementary and middle school Boston Public Schools, and Ipswich Public Schools, Artist in Residence Ipswich Public Schools, Ipswich, MA. She has taught printmaking workshops at Redbrick Studios, Hyperbole Gallery and Indigo Artist Studio.

She uses a Takach etching press and Rives, BFK archival paper in her work as well as a variety of mixed media materials. Her work is in private collections throughout the U.S.
She spends her time between north shore Massashusetts and Midcoast Maine.
